1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Bloom, we may collect the following categories:

  • Account data such as email address, authentication credentials, profile details, and preferences.
  • Learning and user content such as language pair, difficulty, scenes, dialogue turns, typed text, grammar and translation requests, pronunciation-practice content, and related metadata.
  • Audio and speech data when you use voice-practice or microphone features, including voice recordings submitted for speech recognition, pronunciation feedback, follow-read analysis, and voice conversation features.
  • Device and trial data such as device identifiers, app version, platform details, trial counters, and last activity timestamps.
  • Device integrity and security signals, such as indicators of debugging, tampering, jailbreak, hooking, or suspicious runtime environments, used only to protect accounts, enforce trial limits, prevent abuse, and secure the service.
  • Subscription and entitlement data such as status, plan access, and billing-related state.
  • Operational and diagnostic data such as timestamps, error logs, and security monitoring information.
  • Website analytics and consent data when analytics tooling is enabled and you allow it through site controls.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to operate, improve, and protect Bloom, including to:

  • Provide conversation, translation, grammar, vocabulary, and scene-practice functionality.
  • Authenticate users, enforce access rules, and protect against unauthorized activity.
  • Manage trials, billing state, and access entitlements.
  • Maintain reliability, investigate incidents, and improve product quality.
  • Measure site traffic and interaction quality when analytics is enabled and consented to where required.
  • Send service messages such as verification, security, and password-reset emails.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. Legal Bases (EEA/UK)

If you are in the EEA or UK, our legal bases may include:

  • Performance of a contract.
  • Legitimate interests, including security, anti-fraud, and product improvement.
  • Consent, where consent is required.
  • Legal obligation.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may share information only in limited situations:

  • AI, speech, hosting, storage, authentication, billing, analytics, and operational service providers that process data for Bloom only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service.
  • Language-model and speech providers used by the current service configuration, such as Google/Gemini for language-model processing and text analysis, Gemini TTS for text-to-speech, and Apple services such as StoreKit, App Attest, and DeviceCheck for purchases, device integrity, and anti-abuse checks.
  • Legal or regulatory requirements, including valid legal process.
  • Protection of rights, safety, and security, including misuse and abuse investigations.
  • Corporate transactions such as financing, merger, or acquisition where lawful safeguards apply.
  • When you explicitly direct or consent to disclosure.

5. International Transfers

Data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we apply safeguards intended to support lawful cross-border data transfers.

6. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as needed for operational, contractual, security, and legal purposes.

  • Account data is retained while the account is active and then removed or anonymized as appropriate.
  • Dialogue turns, learning history, and related learning metadata may be retained to provide session continuity, progress tracking, and review features unless deleted or otherwise required by law.
  • Voice recordings and generated audio stream tokens may be retained temporarily for processing, caching, debugging, abuse prevention, and service reliability, and may be deleted or anonymized when no longer needed for those purposes.
  • Security, device-integrity, and diagnostic logs are retained for limited operational periods.
  • Analytics retention is governed by the settings of the analytics tools we configure.

7. Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authentication controls, access restrictions, and monitoring. No security measure is perfect.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit certain personal information, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, or object to specific uses of your data.

To make a privacy request, revoke consent where applicable, or ask about account deletion subject to applicable law and required retention, contact contact@convogrami.com or use any account-deletion controls available in the app.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Bloom uses local storage to remember analytics consent choices and may load analytics cookies only when analytics tooling is configured and you have granted consent where required. See our Cookie Notice for details.

10. Children's Privacy

Bloom may be used in family, school, and youth learning contexts. Where applicable law requires additional authorization or safeguards for younger users, collection, use, and disclosure of personal data may be subject to additional notices, parent or school authorization, age-screening, and program-specific controls.

In family, school-based, or youth learning offerings, we intend to limit collection to what is reasonably needed to provide the service, support the relevant program, and meet applicable legal requirements. If we learn that personal data from a younger user was collected without required authorization or outside the scope of the relevant offering, we will take steps to stop processing it and delete it as appropriate.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material updates will be reflected on this page by updating the text and the "Last updated" date above.
